Erik Berg for Ada County Assessor
I am running because the assessor office needs to be run fairly and held accountable. Taxpayers need to trust that the office is run well and isn't tainted by political favors. They need to trust the office and know that their assessments are fair and accurate.

About Erik

I Have The Experience Needed
|
I have lived in Idaho since 2010. I enjoy skiing and making sure small ski areas survive so that more children can enjoy skiing. I also enjoy working with heavy equipment and old trucks. I live in south east Boise with my wife Alex. I went to the University of Washington, and majored in economics with an emphasis in environmental economics. I served as the President of the South East neighborhood association from 2019-22. I manage the books of a multi-million dollar company in the construction industry where I manage multiple employees.
I Work For Better Tax Policy
I will advocate to the state legislature to do intelligent property tax reform that is fair and that will balance the tax burden of commercial and residential property.
|
I have extensive experience in planning, zoning, and construction. This along with my understanding of commercial real estate and development gives me the knowledge necessary to understand the complexity of property tax policy.
I Will Run the Office with IntegrityI will maintain a well-run office that supports employees and makes sure that taxpayers are served.
I Will Be Accountable to Everyone
I will communicate well with the public and do a proactive job to demonstrate how the office of the assessor has done a fair and professional job of producing a fair, straightforward and accurate assessment.
